Carmelite Day Nursery to Wind-down Operations as of July 31, 2024
After careful consideration, prayer and reflection, the Board of Directors of the Carmelite Day Nursery of Toronto has made the painful but necessary decision to wind-down operations of both sites, 108 Harrison Street and Pope Francis Catholic School at 319 Ossington Avenue, as of July 31, 2024. This was a very difficult decision to make, but after many years of faithful service to the community, the Carmelite Sisters who, as members of the Board, oversee the Day Nursery have reached the point in their lives where it’s time for this chapter of their service to come to an end.
Over the next seven months, we’ll be focused on two things – assisting our families and team members as they navigate this next chapter, and maintaining the dedicated level of childcare we provide that reflects our motto:
Each child is a gift entrusted to our care by God.
Each is a unique individual with a potential to be realized, a character to be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Sr. M. Veronica, President, Carmelite Day Nursery of Toronto
